- Authors
Shedinger, Robert F.
- Abstract
This article focuses on the use of Greek manuscript tradition in Biblical interpretation and criticism, questioning the dominance of Greek textual primacy in New Testament criticism. An overview of versional and Patristic tradition used in textual criticism of Matthew 4:15-16 is given. Citations of Isaiah 9:1 in textual witness to Matthew 4:16 are mentioned. Comparative Jewish exegesis in Matthean scriptural citations are also provided.
