- Abstract
This essay analyzes, from the perspective of interbehavioral psychology, some of the aspects of teaching: the curriculum, activities and materials, didactic discourse and the physical and social context of the classroom. Guidelines are given for improving teaching practices and the learning of Mexican students enrolled in basic education, taking into account that the basic system is suffering from problems of low quality and scholastic and social inefficiency. Problems have occurred in spite of psychopedagogical theories that have pointed to the need to orient teaching beyond the repetition of contents, and to conceive teaching as an interactive process. Both inside and outside of the classroom, various aspects must be evaluated in an objective manner.
