- Abstract
Corruption is a complex problem that causes a number of negative consequences that every modern country faces. Therefore, there is a need for continuous monitoring and study of this problem, in order to help treat it more effectively. Corruption allows individuals or groups of people to gain additional income or other benefits to the detriment of the wider public interest. Given this, corruption poses a threat to the fundamental rights and freedoms of citizens, which are guaranteed by numerous domestic and international legal acts. In this paper entitled "Corruption in state institutions of the Republic of Northern Macedonia" an effort has been made to contribute to the reduction and prevention of corruption in state institutions. Thus, the subject of more detailed analysis will be the theoretical and empirical elaboration of the problem, in order to fight corruption. It should be noted that in the framework of this paper, his research on citizens' perception of corruption in state institutions of the Republic of Northern Macedonia was conducted. The purpose was to examine the attitudes and experiences of citizens with corruption in state institutions.
