Identity, belonging and interculture can be dealt with considering various aspects and fields of study. Identity requires the sense of belonging to someone, something, place or group and is formed, defined and established in relation and inter-relation with others. In an intercultural context, it is necessary to be aware of others? differences, that is, their singularity and uniqueness. A non-passive difference may bring along better knowledge of one's language, history and culture in an encounter of diversity. Interculture and interculturalism stand for the living to the full one's identity, in full respect and esteem towards the diversity and the alterity of others.
