The article offers tips on how newly-promoted leaders can ascertain their authority and credibility while maintaining peer relationship. Topics discussed include the importance of establishing support network from other leaders to acquire management insights, and reducing time spent with friends and peers to erase the impression of playing favorites. Also discussed is the value of instituting positive leadership to gain the trust of subordinates.
