- Abstract
The article presents a study which examines the physiological role of melatonin receptors in the intestinal contractility and expressions in chicken. The study uses Magnus apparatus and real-time-polymerase chain reaction (PCR) to determine the mRNA expressions of five melatonin-related genes in chicken. Results show that melatonin contributes to the regulating contraction in chicken intestine.
