- Abstract
The article discusses the slow pace of tallying votes and opposition claims of irregularities during the presidential elections in Mozambique leading to political tensions in the country. Topics include electoral tests for Frelimo party, wealth gap among the people, politician Filipe Nyusi as a candidate opposing Afonso Dhlakama, leader of Mozambique Democratic Party (MDM), negotiations with Renamo party, rejection of the polls by opposition, and cases of violence among the people .
