- Abstract
"Jumper's knee", which is one of the overuse injuries of the knee, is tendinitis of the patellar and quadriceps tendons and Osgood-Schlatter disease is a traction apophysitis in which the deep fibers of the patellar tendon are mostly affected at the attachment point of the tibial tuberositas. Both diseases are seen in sportive children, between the ages of 9-14, who are in active, rapid growth period. Although a good anamnesis and physical examination are mostly sufficient for the diagnosis, imaging modalities are frequently used. Direct radiography has been used as the first-line imaging method in diagnosis for many years. Ultrasonography, which has been used frequently in clinical practice in recent years, can be used to detect and classify early signs of diseases, and the course of the disease can be followed. Herewith, we aimed to present how musculoskeletal ultrasonography contributed to the diagnosis in a case of jumper's knee accompanied by Osgood- Schlatter disease and presented with anterior knee pain.
