- Abstract
In our article, a case with a complaint of both toes gradually moving to upright position and staying in this position has ben reported. The case was diagnosed as the sequela of bilateral anterior tibial compartment syndrome by clinical, electrophysiological and radiologic investigations. In this case, the compartment syndrome had developed as a result of being tied too tightly to a bed from her legs almost twenty years ago during her stay in a hospital. It resulted with a sequela because of not being recognized and treated appropriately and caused to a rare complaint in daily practice. In our country, patients, especially in intensive care units might be tied too tightly to beds from their extremities. On the occasion of this case, we draw attention to this serious complication and emphasize the necessity of avoiding this type of procedure.
