- Abstract
The article discusses the properties and performance of lower cost simple alloy steels processed using induction coupled thermomagnetic processing (ITMP), based on the Induction Coupled Thermomagnetic Processing project of the U.S. Department of Energy. Topics include transformation kinetics, segregation banding, rotating bending fatigue, reverse idler gear single-tooth fatigue, and thermodynamic effect of strong magnetic field.
