- Abstract
The article presents a study which aims to examine women and men's decisions to engage in physical activity regularly and to attain a healthy weight. The study uses an econometric model which is a conceptual model of household behavior with a health production function. Results show that early health status as shown in body mass index (BMI) at the age of 25 affects midcareer wage rates significantly.
