- Abstract
This paper shows the impact of the introduction of distributed generation sources (DGS) on losses in the distribution network. The impact of distributed generation sources of energy losses is a matter of great interest. Most studies have focused on the study of a specific case (DGS supply and connection). In this paper a specific case for Maramures county was analyzed, in which the amount of renewable energy is given by the one produced by the micro hydro station(MHS). Two sources of distributed generation were considered (two MHS's, both with power 998kW), which feed the distribution network of medium voltage, supplied from the transformer station 110/20kV Tg. Lapus. The two sources operate on different 20kV medium voltage lines. In order to increase the energetic effects evaluation accuracy of the presence of GDS a stochastic approach was chosen, motivated by the random sizes in the evaluation models of power and energy losses. For this EDSA was used as software tool, program which gives the means to create a detailed design of power systems and then perform a set of simulations on the network. The case was modelled using EDSA program, taking into account cases in which: - DGS does not work, the power cut is 0 kW - DGS works, which discharges into the system. The method used has highlighted the positive impact reflected on the results by reducing the losses. This occurs until a certain voltage level imposed on the station bars is reached (21.6kV), at which the provider reduces the power factor in order to produce. When the transformers belonging to the providers are considered for the model created, the results analysed indicate that the power transformer losses are higher than those on the sections of lines. The influence of variation of the effective value of the voltage on the bars station is much smaller than the influence of the charge.
