- Abstract
The article discusses a study which evaluated clinico-radiological correlation in 31 children with congenital hypopituitarism under 18 years of age with growth hormone deficiency (GHD). It was found that hypoplastic pituitary gland was more prevalent in patients with isolated growth hormone deficiency (IGHD) than in the multiple pituitary hormone deficiencies (MPHD) group. MR tetrad, however, was more prevalent in IGHD patients. It concluded that imaging abnormalities correlates with the severity of GHD.
