- Authors
Lockerby, Earle
- Abstract
The article discusses the history of a British fishery at Malpeque Bay, Prince Edward Island, during the 1760s. It states that in 1764, Nova Scotia Governor Montagu Wilmot granted a license to officials Michael Molineaux and John McLane to start fishery operations at the Harbour of Malpeque. Surveyor Samuel Holland conducted a survey during 1764-1765, and concluded that Malpeque was an ideal location for sedentary fishery.
