The article presents an interview with sociology professor and activist Stanley Aronowitz. He explains whether the labor movement has become part of the Democratic Party. He describes whether most contracts preclude strikes and guarantee management broad power. He refers to the biggest problem of declining power faced by the labor movement, explained in his book The Death & Life of American Labor: Toward a New Workers' Movement.
