Practicalities and Possibilities.
- Abstract
This section presents summaries of articles featured in the July 2005 issue of Forest Products Journal. The study, Growth of Secondary Wood Manufacturing in British Columbia, Canada, indicates the public policy goal of increased value-added wood processing in British Columbia did occur through the 1990s. The article, Sequential Treatments With Fluoride and Copper: Effects of Solution Concentration and Dipping Time on Treatment, examined the potential for using sequential soaking in fluoride and copper solutions to protect wood and reduce the equipment needed for applying preservatives to wood.
