- Abstract
The article discusses as research study on validating the Soleris&#174 Non-fermenting-Total Viable Count (NF-TVC) method for determining TVC in different foods. Tested were nine naturally contaminated foods at four and three threshold levels through the probability of detection (POD) statistical model. Results showed the accuracy of the Soleris NF-TVC method as an alternative for microbial counts evaluation in conventional dilution plating procedures with lesser analysis time.
