- Abstract
The article focuses on an agreement by an expert review panel at the AOAC International Mid-Year Meeting on June 29, 2011 to adopt "Application of Ultra-High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (UHPLC)/Tandem Mass Spectrometry (MS) for the Measurement of Vitamin D in Foods and Nutritional Supplements" as AOAC Official Method 2011.11. The use of the method decreased the run time by 50%. It also achieved equal or better separation efficiency with complex food matrixes compared to HPLC-MS/MS.
