- Abstract
It has been observed that Turkey and Yugoslavia that are the member states of Balkan Entente signed in 1934, have been pursuing a closer friendship policy in order to develop their bilateral relationships. This friendship has not been restricted only to the political area; but also was also reflected to the cultural area in order that both of the countries can know each other much better and can further their relationship. In September 1936, the visit of a group of Turkish Journalists to Belgrade, can be considered within this framework. These journalists later published their observations during Yugoslavia travel as books, columns or reports. Among these journalists is also Ahmet Emin Yalman who is one of the important pens of the press of that period. The objective of this study is to introduce the report that includes the Yugoslavia impressions that is prepared by Ahmet Emin Yalman and submitted to the Prime Ministry. This report is valuable both for its inclusion of the observations of a name who had taken part in Turkish press for many years and its inclusion of domestic political structure of Yugoslavia as well as the comments about the conditions of Turkish-Muslim factors within this structure point of view.
