Ostertagiosis causes illthrift and death in older cattle.
Abstract
The article presents a report on veterinary diseases in Scotland in July 2013. A six-year-old Simmental cow has been diagnosed with ostertagiosis which resulted to illthrift and death in Dumfries. A four-year-old North American bison bull has been confirmed to have malignant catarrhal fever (MCF) in Aberdeen. The authors recorded the highest number of liver fluke outbreaks in 2012.
