- Title
RCVS Council members express concern about rise in lay TB testing.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the concerns of British Royal Council of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) Advisory Committee (AC) members on the increasing lay tuberculosis (TB) testing and the use of Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) lay testers. RCVS Advisory Committee chairman Bob Moore says that TB testing is an act of diagnosis while Roger Eddy said that the Defra misled them about the pilot lay TB testing exercises. It also notes Chief Veterinary Officer Nigel Gibbens who believes that the RCVS should discuss the issue with Defra.
