- Abstract
The article discusses the benefits and risks of using presuit voluntary binding arbitration (PVBA) as an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) process in medical malpractice legal cases in Florida, focusing on court-ordered mediation in Florida and the costs associated with medical malpractice litigation. A notice of intent to initiate litigation is mentioned, along with service of process and the timing of arbitration hearings in Florida. Punitive and economic damages are examined.
