- Authors
Hahn, Betty
- Abstract
The article provides information on the work of Henry Holmes Smith, artist and professor at Indiana University. It states that in 1948, Smith made his first pictures with the use of syrup and water on glass, in which he contributed to the visual archive of photography. Moreover, it notes that Smith used a simple process on his work, in which he combined it with dye transfer to refract light. In 1937, Smith had been deeply involved with experimental color when he met artist László Moholy-Nagy. Photographs of the work of Smith are also provided.
