The article discusses the case report of a 26-year-old female who was found to have renal insufficiency on routine laboratory studies. She had no history of diabetes, hypertension, arthritis, urinary tract infections, or nephrolithiasis. Light microscopic evaluation of the patient revealed one core of renal cortex and medulla with overlying capsule.
