In the article, the author discusses the Heraclitan historiography of Professor Ronald Hutton, particularly on his works on witches as invention and archetype. Also cited are Hutton's paganism, the history of early modern witch trials, Hutton's works on shamanism, and the Romantic transformations of folk cultural materials.
