- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 41-year-old woman who developed an infection within the recurrent congenital liver cyst. While undergoing a resection of the cystic roof, the end-tidal carbon dioxide (CO2) concentration of the patient suddenly increased and was followed by the deterioration of hemodynamic functions which suggest a CO2 embolism. A mechanical ventilation was performed and dobutamine and noradrenaline were administered to stabilize hemodynamic functions.
