- Abstract
The article presents a clinical study which describes the indications and advantages of using the video laryngoscope for orotracheal intubation. It demonstrates the potential complications for oropharyngeal injuries when using the video laryngoscope in a case series of six patients. It finds that the patients have sustained injury to the oropharynx during attempted orotracheal intubation using the Glidescope video laryngoscope.
