- Title
A nurse's experience of working in bariatric endoscopy procedures.
- Authors
Kerwin, Belinda
- Abstract
This article is written from my own personal experience in assisting general surgeons with endoscopy procedures, helping bariatric patients with their weight loss journeys. I have no personal disclosures to declare and gain no monetary benefits from writing this article or benefits from Apollo EndoSurgery. It is written purely to share with fellow gastroenterology nurses, to understand emerging techniques that may be used more widely in the future due to the growing epidemic of obesity. My article will focus on my endoscopic experiences with the Orbera® intragastric balloon and endoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (ESG), using the Apollo OverStitch™ device.
