- Abstract
Cornejo Ojeda, Juan Patricio. Martin Heidegger and Xavier Zubiri in the Light of Jorge Eduardo Rivera. It is well known that in Being and Time, Martin Heidegger proposed what he called "hermeneutic phenomenology" as the method of his interpretation. Something analogous happens with Xavier Zubiri, because part of his philosophy is a phenomenological exercise insofar as the Basque philosopher --according to Jorge Eduardo Rivera Cruchaga-- describes that which has been presented previously in and of itself. The vital act of the primordial apprehension of reality is a hermeneutical act. Consequently we must ask ourselves the following question: how does Rivera's reading shed light on certain points that Zubiri had discerned in Heidegger?
