- Abstract
The article presents a study on the use of Mediation Receptivity Index (MRI) to measure geographical distribution and development of mediation activity in the U.S. Issues like factors that facilitate increased use of mediation and the political, statutory, and academic environments that create a flourishing mediation community are discussed.The creation of a model, process, and methodology for measuring MRI, which is central to the understanding and advocacy of alternative dispute resolution (ADR), are presented.
