- Title
REVISITING THE McDADE AMENDMENT: FINDING THE APPROPRIATE SOLUTION FOR THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT LAWYER.
- Authors
LeDonne, Gregory B.
- Abstract
The article assesses a potential revision of the McDade amendment to make sure that proposed solutions would include requirements of the federal government lawyer's job. The amendment was introduced by U.S. Representative Joseph McDade and was approved by the U.S. Congress in 1998 following ethics controversies arising from the U.S. Department of Justice policies regulating attorney conduct. It is believed to be an act of revenge on the part of McDade.
