- Abstract
The article discusses the professional and business advantages of team-based operation in clinical practice involving the physician and medical assistants including the nurse. Peter Anderson is cited for implementing the collaborative care model in his practice in serving outpatient visits. It is explained how examination and electronic health record tasks are distributed or delegated such that doctors gain time for primary tasks while their assistants acquire the confidence of patients.
