- Abstract
The article discusses the use of intraurethral lidocaine jelly in women undergoing urodynamic studies (UDS) for bladder testing. Topics discussed include anxiety experienced by patients with UDS bladder testing due to its invasive nature, procedural steps in UDS testing including uroflowmetry, cystometry and pressure flow study, and the analgesic numbing effect of lidocaine which offers relief of discomfort during catherization.
