- Abstract
The article discusses the study of mapmaking as well as the importance of determining geographic features in maps. Mapmaking started during the early civilization as a way of identifying locations. Cartographers depict the various geographic features of the Earth in a variety of ways base on his/her perspective of the world. A mapmaking activity is also presented in this article wherein students are ask to create maps base on the geographic information provided. Scale, context as well as distortion are important factors in mapmaking.
