- Title
Fastness to light of optically brightened cotton textiles (Part 2).
- Abstract
Part 1 of this publication, which appeared in issue 2/2017 of melliand International, dealt with the fastness to light of optically brightened cotton textiles in terms of the (DIN EN) ISO 105-B02 standard and the test conditions. Part 2 now investigates in detail to what extent factors such as different exposure equipment, textile make-up, amount of optical brightener, and finishes (e.g. softening, resin finishing, water and oil-repellency, and flame-retardancy) have an effect on the fastness to light of brightened white cotton specimens.
