- Abstract
The outcome of the cross-validated C-index of the model (0.686) was publish in the "Results" section, indicating that the model adequately assigns a higher risk score to patients with a higher risk of developing a recurrence. This could provide the predicted probability for the risk of recurrence for an individual patient outside of the study population, although developing such a tool for external use was not the primary aim of this study. These data and figures show that very few patients with a low predicted probability (< 1%) develop a recurrence, especially in the first 4 years of follow-up.
