- Abstract
A reprint of the article about Jacob Trieber, the first Jewish federal judge in Little Rock, Arkansas, which appeared in the August 10, 1900 issue of "Jewish Voice" is presented. Trieber was appointed to fill the vacancy caused by the death of judge John A. Williams. He represented the state at the National Republican Conventions of 1880, 1884 and 1896. He is known as a lawyer of exception ability and as pleasing orator. He is also considered the most regular attendant of divide worship at the Friday evening services at the Congregation B'nai.
