- Abstract
In this article, we start from Anne McClintock's imagetic analysis of the map depicted in "King Solomon's Mines" to reflect on ethical-political-methodological challenges inherent to the debates that cross feminist and anti-racist academic performances. In the first part of the text, we contextualize the relevance of the work in our academic work based on a common experience - an elective discipline of Anthropology (IFCH/Unicamp) on territories and bodies in contexts of violence, emphasizing the impossibility of working with themes such as urbanization, criminalization, incarceration, and necropolitics without establishing the necessary connections with the production of the field of gender studies. In the second part, we show the impacts of McClintock's analytical proposal through an experimentation involving projection, photography and visual arts.
