- Abstract
The article discusses a Clovis point recovered during an archaeological excavation near Big Springs Creek in Owyhee County, Idaho during the mid-1970s. The unique nature of the discovery is examined and the characteristics of the Clovis point are presented. The article examines features of Clovis points, including channel flakes, flutes, and evidence of grinding or resharpening and a description of the Big Springs Creek Clovis point is presented which includes its length, width, and thickness, as well as a discussion of the material from which it was made.
