- Abstract
The article presents the study on blood cultures and bacteria counts in the blood of patients with paratyphoid fever A. It says that Paratyphoid fever A (PA) is caused by Salmonella enterica serotype Paratyphi A (SPA). Meanwhile, the authors claim that they have performed broth blood cultures (BBC) by the BacT/ALERT 3D automated blood culture system and quantitative whole-blood culture for a large series of patients with suspected PA in determining the yields from blood cultures.
