- Authors
Forman, Joel
- Abstract
The article examines how the forces of nature could have been interpreted to express the will of the Almighty to the Ninth Plague, an event stipulated in the Jewish Bible, which is the descent of darkness. In this paper, modern examples of darkness occurred during normal daylight hours are offered and compared to the biblical account. The darkness of the Ninth Plague suggests volcanic action and is one of the possible causes of darkness during daylight including total eclipse of the sun.
