- Abstract
Life studies course is one of the important lessons that have the duty and responsibility of preparing individuals for life. Life studies course is not only a lesson but a moral and cultural subdivision that society possesses, and it has a significant share in the transfer of values and skills to individuals. These tasks and responsibilities have put a different and important mission to the life studies course. It is expected that the life studies course textbooks, which are among the learning tools that best reflect the life studies course within the scope of this mission, will of course be updated and functional. Textbooks are expected to be the result of a dynamic and dynamic sub-structure that follows the current life. Style, design, harmony between paintings and texts of life studies course textbooks is also very important. Because the gains, values and skills that will be gained to the individuals under certain determined themes are presented in the course book with appropriate activities and examples. It is expected that the events, occasions or texts used during this presentation will also overlap with the images they are used together with. Only in this way can an effective learning process be mentioned. In this study, the harmony of picture and text in the textbooks of life studies course in Turkey and Germany was examined and the similarities and differences between the uses of picture and texts in textbooks were evaluated.
