- Abstract
Due to the disease's high mortality rate, acute myocardial infarction has become a serious public health problem. Although the population recognizes its characteristics, its symptoms are often confused with common diseases, which delays diagnosis and makes treatment difficult. In cases of serious illnesses such as this, early diagnosis is recommended to avoid the patient's death, since in this case, the diagnosed patient needs to undergo numerous changes related to their lifestyle, mainly due to the existence of modifiable factors such as smoking, alcoholism, sedentary lifestyle and consumption of harmful foods. Necessarily, the time from admission to the hospital until entry into the hemodynamic rooms must be as short as possible to avoid the risk of reinfarction or complications that could lead to death. Given the importance of this topic, this study seeks to measure the time from the patient's admission to the hospital until entry into hemodynamics, as well as evaluating the effects of the use of thrombolytics and evaluating whether there is a difference in PCI complication rates among patients undergoing PCI. procedure within 24h, 48h or after 48h of thrombolysis. This study will be carried out based on data extracted from medical records of patients admitted with STEMI and thrombolyzed at the evaluated hospital. In this sense, the study seeks to justify the possibility of reducing the time from diagnosis to the hemodynamics center through real data.
