- Abstract
The article discusses a study related to emergence of safe treatments and disease-modifying therapy (DMT) for multiple sclerosis (MS). It mentions that successful randomized controlled trials in MS enrolled relatively young and unimpaired patients with a history of recent relapses or new magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) lesions. It also mentions that the concept of DMT discontinuation in selected patients is biologically plausible and supported by observational studies.
