- Abstract
The article discusses a study which used the commercial software ANSYS FLUENT (V.12) to develop a three-dimensional numerical model of the electromagnetic induction pumps (EMIP). The major advantage of EMIP is its movement of liquid metal by electromagnetic (EM) forces. Numerical results obtained from the study are compared with a simplified analytical model showing good agreement. It also discussed the limitations and possible extension of the numerical model.
