- Abstract
Blood sampling requires a particularly dexterous technique; the existing training system is not sufficient for students to acquire satisfactory skills by the time they graduate. Hence, we have developed a learning support system for blood sampling techniques that can present the difference in the angle between a teacher's syringe and surface of patient's skin while blood sampling and angle between a student's syringe and the surface of skin in real time. In this system, students can learn blood sampling techniques by imitating a teacher's motions presented by computer graphics and moving their own syringe until the displayed angle difference becomes zero. This system is useful for learning to insert syringes at the same angle as the teacher. © 2022 Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan. Published by Wiley Periodicals LLC.
