- Abstract
The article discusses the use of gamification in teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL) through the online platform Wordwall.net. Gamification is the incorporation of game elements into non-gaming environments to improve user experience and motivation. The article explains the features of gamification and how it can be used to engage students and enhance language acquisition. The author conducted a short action research study in two secondary school classes and found that gamified activities using Wordwall.net increased student attention and focus, leading to a more productive learning environment. The article emphasizes the importance of the teacher in designing tailored gamified activities for students.
