The article offers updates from the American Academy of Veterinary Acupuncture (AAVA). AAVA President Chris Cahill talks on the negotiations with the American Association of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine which led to the AAVA adoption of the "American Journal of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine" (AJTCVM) as its official publication. It discusses the 2011 AAVA annual meeting held in Scottsdale, Arizona from March 11-13 wherein the AAVA Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Doctor Terry Durkes. It mentions several presenters during the annual meeting which include Are Theoresen, Joyce Harman, and Michelle Schraeder. It adds that the AAVA will sponsor a two-day Equine TCVM meeting to be held Lexington, Kentucky in late September 2012.
