- Title
Horse racing not an agricultural use of land.
- Abstract
The article focuses on a ruling of the Court of Appeals of Kansas which held that training horses to race did not constitute agricultural use of land. Navarro family had a tract of land in Seward County, Kansas, which they started using as a facility to train horses. The county sought a permanent injunction against such activities of the Navarros. The appellate court held that the use of property as a racehorse training facility without a permit violated the county's zoning regulations.
