- Abstract
Through further technological advancement, the role of the human resource manager has changed dramatically. As its popularity increases and the cost of technology decreases, many companies are converting to electronic-learning and electronic-human resource management (e-hrm) methods (Stone & Dulebohn, 2012). One can assume that businesses will grow even further dependent on electronic services and move away from more traditional methods. This paper will focus on the idea of electronic-human resource management and outline the advantages as well as the disadvantages by analyzing current research regarding this topic. Research on e-hrm is fairly minimal and further research is necessary to draw more concrete conclusions. With thorough research businesses will be able to make smarter human resource management decisions.
